WHO IS HOSTING THE PRIDE RIDE?
The Pride Ride is hosted by Capital City Pride in conjunction with Pride Month, celebrating health, wellness, and community.
WHEN IS THE RIDE?
The event will take place Sunday, June 29, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
DO I NEED TO REGISTER?
Yes, registration is required for all riders.
WHAT IS THE ROUTE?
The Pride Ride is an “out and back” route with two distance options: a 10-mile round trip or a 20-mile round trip, traveling between Single Speed Brewing Company in downtown Des Moines and The Chicken on Orillo Rd in West Des Moines.
IS THIS A TIMED EVENT?
No, this is an untimed event, focused on building community through health and wellness.
ARE HELMETS REQUIRED?
Yes, all riders must wear a helmet to participate in the event.
WHERE WILL THE RIDE TAKE PLACE?
The route will take place on trails and closed roads, with a few open road crossings. The route is very flat and beginner-friendly.
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE WITH MY REGISTRATION?
Registered participants will receive a Pride Ride bike placard, a pair of Pride Ride cycling socks, and some great partner swag and gear.
IS THIS RIDE FAMILY-FRIENDLY?
Yes! The Pride Ride welcomes riders of all skill levels and encourages community participation.
