Join us for the 2024 Pride Storytellers, where local individuals will share true, personal stories on a specific theme. These evenings of vulnerable stories told without the use of any notes often focus on the raw and intimate details of the storytellers’ experiences and are presented in a format that prioritizes authenticity, humor, and emotional connection.

This November 21st at 6:00pm at the Temple Theater, you will hear stories on the theme, “Gender Across the Spectrum.” These stories from trans, gender non-binary, and genderqueer residents of the Des Moines region will put a human face and first-person perspective on the very real lives of this all-too-often misunderstood portion of the LGBTQ+ community.

With trans kids and non-binary people being used as political targets here in Iowa and across the country, come meet the real individuals who are our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family members. Listen and learn as they share their lived experiences that are sure to debunk the political sound-bytes and campaign ads.
