We want you to get involved. Not only do we need our financial sponsors, Capital City Pride is also able to make an impact in our community because of our incredible volunteers. This is one of the simplest, and yet most meaningful, ways you can help. The best way to build an even more inclusive Des Moines is to do it together, so we have opportunities for people of various abilities.
From helping with community improvement activities to setting up for events, we have a wide-range of activities. Specifically, we have year-round needs on our program planning teams for each of the Pillars of Pride, and then we need a huge team of nearly 500 volunteers for PrideFest in June. There is plenty to do, so we would love to have you join us!
Each of our Pillars of Pride has a programming team dedicated to building community. Beyond volunteering at PrideFest, you can sign up here to join one of our year-round committees on topics like: Family, Education, Wellness, Marketing, DEI, and more.
