Pride Ride
Don’t miss the Inaugural Capital City Pride Ride! This untimed, community-building event is all about health, wellness, and fun—and it’s open to everyone. Whether you’re rocking a fabulous outfit or your favorite cycling gear, we encourage you to come as you are and enjoy the ride. The Pride Ride features an out-and-back route between Single Speed Brewing Co. and The Chicken on Orillo Rd. All participants will enjoy a safe, scenic ride on trails and closed roads while receiving awesome perks like a Pride Ride bike placard, cycling socks, and other fun swag.
Pet Pageant
Join us for Capital City Pride’s Eighth Annual Pride Pet Pageant and let your furry friend show their support for a cause as close to their hearts as it is to yours! The 2025 Pet Pageant will take place on Saturday, June 7 at 9:30am at the PrideFest Community Stage. Prizes awarded in five categories: Most Pet Pride, Pet and Owner Look-a-Like, Best Dressed, Best in Show, and Crowd Favorite. Register to parade by our judges, strut your stuff, and show your pride!
5K Pride Stride
Walk. Run. Strut with Capital City Pride in the annual Capital City Pride Stride 5K! The Pride Stride 5K will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 8:00am. Come kick off the second day of PrideFest with us! Pride Stride is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of diversity and acceptance. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or somewhere in between, everyone is welcome to participate and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Registration is now open! All registrations will include a Pride Stride t-shirt and a race medal.

Pride Parade
The 2025 Veridian Pride Parade will be held at Noon on Sunday, June 8, 2025 as part of PrideFest Weekend, June 6-8, 2025! Registration for the 2025 parade is now closed. If you have any questions about the parade, email us at pridefest@capitalcitypride.org.
Pride Guide Ad
The 2025 Pride Guide is now in print. Check back here in January to submit your ad for 2026! This includes both the print and digital format. This is a great way to make sure people know you support the LGBTQ+ community, and it can be a good place to put a coupon to welcome folks to stop by!

PrideFest Entertainment Application
The application for stage entertainment for the 2025 Pride Festival is now closed. Bands, singer/songwriters, drag performers, dancers, variety acts, and more were invited to apply to perform at PrideFest, June 6-8 in Des Moines’ Historic East Village. Selected performers will be notified by mid-April.
